Hello everyone, and welcome to our first class together.
I am excited to be able to lead you along your educational path in you calling from God to lead his people. I would like everyone to know that this is a safe area meaning that if something of a sensitive nature is shared on here, we keep that information here in our forum.
The second thing I believe we all need to be aware of is that Prayer is the most important part of our time together and I would ask that each of you pray daily for God's wisdom and guidance in the class, as well as in your walk with him. I know that is kind of a Duh! statement, however, if you are going to lead God's people, you need God's wisdom.
Third, assignments are to be turned in to my email address, pastorklubek@gmail.com. I need you to assist me in out first class together as there are many of you. Please turn the work in the week it is assigned in the class. For instance, assignments in week one should be turned in by Sunday night of week one. The class Syllabus has a suggested work schedule in it. Week one turned in during week one, and week two turned in on week two. You get the idea. This is so that I can keep track of all of you and your progress.
Fourth, I am here to help and will make myself available to you most of the time. I work a full time job, and am full time in ministry. That being said I will get to you as soon as possible, sometimes it may take a few minutes, others it may take over night. If it is a pressing issue or an emergency, call me at 620-365-9168 and leave a message if I do not answer. I am very seldom too far from my phone. All other contact can be made through my email, or phone if necessary.
Fifth, as you do the assignments, if you use the work of someone other than yourself in an answer, a post or a paper, you are required to cite the work at the bottom. I am not sure what has been used as a format in the past, but MLA format is what NBC used, and I am good with that. A proper citation will help avoid plagiarism, which in essence is stealing.
Finally, may God bless you in the class you have chosen to take and remember, we are Christian men and women learning with and from one another. I look forward to hearing from each of you and watching your progression into mighty leaders.
Serving the servants,
Pastor Kelly
